Warranty

XTRACTO products are manufactured by Portable Winch Co. and are guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Please retain your original proof of purchase, as it will be required for any warranty claim.

 

1. Warranty Coverage

The “original owner” is defined as the person or entity who purchased the product from an authorised retailer, as evidenced by the original invoice.

The warranty is transferable, provided the new owner holds a copy of the original invoice.

This warranty does not apply to products sold “as is”.

 Rental Use

There is no usage warranty for XTRACTO products used in rental applications. The only warranty provided is that the product is free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 3 months from the purchase date.

The warranty period begins on the date of product delivery to the end customer.

 

3. Scope of Warranty

This warranty covers structural components and all other components of the XTRACTO product during the applicable warranty period.

Within this period:

·         The customer must notify the appropriate warranty contact (see Section 8 below).

·         The product must be made available for inspection and repair.

·         The dealer/distributor must complete the warranty claim and submit it within 30 days of the repair or replacement date.

Any defective part must be retained for inspection. Failure to return requested parts will automatically void the warranty claim.

Any parts replaced or repaired are covered only for:

·         The remaining warranty period of the original product, or

·         The warranty period specific to the replacement part (if applicable).

The warranty period cannot be extended due to periods of non-use resulting from repair, demonstration, inspection, or lease return.

 

4. Manufacturer Obligations

Under this warranty, Portable Winch Co.’s sole obligation is, at its discretion:

·         To repair or replace defective parts free of charge

·         Repairs will be completed at Portable Winch Co.’s factory or distributor warehouse

·         All shipping costs must be paid by the user

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, this warranty does not constitute a guarantee of performance or productivity.

Portable Winch Co. reserves the right to make changes or improvements to its products without obligation to retrofit previously sold units.

 

5. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover maintenance items, wear parts, or consumables for XTRACTO models, including but not limited to:

·         Greases and lubricating oils

·         Retaining pins

·         Grab hooks

·         Parts subject to friction or normal wear

·         Any component showing evidence of negligence, overload, misuse, abuse, accident, improper maintenance, unsuitable storage, or unauthorised alteration

No warranty claim shall apply in the following cases:

·         Product damaged during transit or storage

·         Shipping costs for inspection or repair

·         Diagnostic and problem investigation costs

·         Costs for substitute equipment during repair

·         Communication or transportation costs during repair

·         Products with missing or illegible identification or serial numbers

 

6. Warranty Void Conditions

This warranty will automatically be cancelled if:

·         Repairs or alterations are performed without prior written approval from Portable Winch Co.

·         Non-approved parts are used for repair or modification

·         The product is modified without authorisation

·         The product is used in an unsuitable manner or without proper maintenance

·         A retaining pin other than the one supplied with the tool and accessories is used

 

7. Limitation of Liability

THIS WARRANTY CONSTITUTES AND REPLACES ANY OTHER WARRANTY, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WRITTEN OR ORAL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Portable Winch Co. cannot be held responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including those resulting from operator negligence.

This warranty shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws and commercial practices in force in the Province of Quebec, Canada.

 

8. How to Make a Claim

If a defect appears within the applicable warranty period, the customer must immediately cease using the product and contact the appropriate warranty contact below.

·         Proof of purchase

·         Serial number

·         Detailed description of the issue

Products must be properly packaged to prevent transport damage. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
